Eating in Kuala Lumpur - Lunch at Mezza Notte

While Changkat Bukit Bintang is still one of the popular entertainment hotspots in KL despite the fact that it has been around for ages, new hotspots are also cropping up to take away some of the traffic. The Asian Heritage Row next to Sheraton Imperial Hotel is now a few years old, and the mix of outlets here make it an interesting alternative. 

Mezza Notte is a "fusion" place which is an Italian restaurant, sushi bar and jazz club rolled into one. Like many other places in KL, they are catching on to the antipasto buffet concept. You can opt for the Japanese set lunch which I am told is also very good.

The decor is classic-modern or modern-classic, with purple as the main accent. It feels nice and cosy during the day, and at night I am sure it would transform quite well into a club atmosphere.

The antipasto buffet lunch is very good value. For RM 32 ++ you can have your fill at the buffet. Pay another RM 10 and you can have a choice of main course. The buffet spread is really good, with a wide selection of salads, cold cuts, soup, etc. Everything was done to a very high standard, with good and fresh ingredients and lots of taste. 

The generous antipasto salad bar with lots of selections. The salmon and beef carpacio were really good. 

Mezza Notte is a great place for lunch, especially for the antipasto buffet. The quality and taste of the food was of a consistently high standard. I would go back to try out the a la carte and Japanese menu next time.
