Costa del Sol

The Costa Del Sol welcomes more than two million people a year who arrive at Malaga international airport and head to one of the many resorts located along this stretch of coastline from Gibraltar in the west to Nerja in the east.
The most well known resorts lie west of Malaga beginning with Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Mijas Costa. Further along the coast lies Marbella with its famous marina at Puerto Banus, Estepona, Sotogrande and finally Gibraltar.
With the Costa del Sol weather giving average annual temperatures of 18ºC and over 300 days of sunshine per year it isn't difficult to understand why it is one of Europe's top holiday destinations.
There are around 70 Costa del Sol golf courses on the "Costa del Golf" which can be played all year round as well as a whole range of other activities available such as sailing, scuba diving, horse riding, dolphin safaris, etc. The list is endless.
Away from the coast there are numerous excursions into the real Spain with the cities of Ronda, Seville, Cordoba and Granada all accessible for day tours. Weather

The Costa del Sol weather is exactly what you would expect from the name "Sunny Coast", sun, sun and more sun. It is one of the best, most reliable and healthiest climates in the world with more than 300 days of sunshine per year.In the winter months the climate is temperate with average daytime temperatures of about 16ºC. There can be some rainy days during this period but when tends to vary from year to year and it seldom lasts more than a few days. It is a perfect climate during these months for playing golf. Check out our Costa del Sol Golf Courses page.At the height of the summer in July and August the daytime temperatures reach about 30ºC and there is no rain - perhaps there may be one or two summer storms but nothing that will last too long. Due to the number of hours and the intensity of the sun people should have sun cream on at all times during the day to prevent burning. Note: sunburn does not show straight away so you may feel fine out in the sun but by the evening you could become bright red and feel very, very uncomfortable.

Golf Courses

There are now more than 60 Costa del Sol Golf Courses stretching from Sotogrande in the west to the lesser known Velez Malaga in the east and they all have one thing in common - the fantastic sunny and dry climate allowing golfers to play all year round. For those who are used to playing golf in the cold and wet of a northern European winter it will be a real luxury to play on a Costa del Sol winter's day.
There are Costa del Sol golf courses to suit all levels of players and they are set in some beautiful surroundings, many with views of the sea and mountains.
