Hotel Cote Cour SL is one of the new generation of boutique hotels cropping up in Beijing. Located in the Yanyue Hutong towards the Eastern side of the Forbidden City, this hotel was included in Conde Nast Travellers' 2008 Hot List.
The hotel only has 14 rooms and was converted from a Ming Dynasty era "shiheyuan" or courtyard house. The design is very chic and you can see why the travel magazines are raving about this little hotel. The location though is not for the faint hearted, as it is quite deep in the Hutong. You could easily get lost in the maze of alleys.
